Multiple PP memberships

I already have PP via my prestige but I am not going to renew that card when AF hits in August. If I order a PP membership via my reserve card is it like a whole new account and card? I would assume so.

Prestige gave me a new account number when I already had one from Platinum. I assume it's the same with CSR.

Never used either PP card, though. Just Delta/Admirals/Centurion so far.

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

I used the PP membership a lot in China. I tried to use it in Greece but found some of the lounges were not even open which was disappointing to say the least. Working on a trip through SE asia which will likely have a lot of intra-asia flights so I'm hoping PP comes in handy.

Re: Multiple PP memberships

They are different for each card. Good thing is you can have app on your phone, so that no need to carry physical card.

Is that app on the phone reliable? I noticed that people in the past have claimed they had issues getting into lounges with the phone app.

I carry the PP card, anyway, so I'm not worried about that.

My concern is being denied entry even with the card. I hear a lot of reports that employees at several of the nicer participating lounges won't accept PP once the place gets even a little busy. It's deceptive and dishonest to say they are truly PP lounges, but sadly it's rational since the airlines are more interested in keeping their own elites happy.

Re: Multiple PP memberships

App works fine. I use app all the time. I guess I have now 5 PPs ( Amex pl, Chase rc, BMO Harris PR, Amex Hilton, USB Reserve).
