It really depends on how close you are to borderline approval standards. If you are pretty close you have a chance. If you are not, calling them nonstop whenever they are open isn't going to make a change in anything.

This ought to be regarded as a safety net, rather than to bet your approval odds on recons. Most recon approvals end up in minimum or close to minimum CL anyways, so I don't see the point in getting a toy limit or the bare minimum CL for a visa signature.

You might find that interesting. The OP reconned 3 times and was told no, with the last CSR telling him that it was his third call and the answer was always going to be no. Called a fourth time anyway and got approved.

That's kind of funny. They definitely keep call notes on their internal systems, but I suspect some CSRs don't always read them right away, which allowed the person in the story above to slip through.

CSR's are humans, and I think the record we've seen here anecdotally was approval on the 5th recon?

Either way for whatever the reason, if you're close but not quite, Chase's recon policy is absurdly liberal.   My own recon experience was so trivially simple to the point I'm stunned I was denied in the first place even though I was a marginal approval admittedly.
