Re: My First Amex CLI

I'm there with you Timmy!

I got turned down for my CLI too.  And I work for the guys.

lol

I escalated to a supervisor and I confronted them on the policy and was like, "I'm very young, I don't have a thick credit profile.  I haven't had the opportunity to let my accounts age.  I have maxed out and paid off this card every month and shown you my financial capabilities.  Is there anyway you can do a manual review to ascertain whether you can take a chance to even get me to 1500?"

And I was told, "No. We can't approve the limit due to cbr reasons."

I countered with, "Chase, Bank of America, Cap One, and my credit union all can pull my cbr report and manually review my account and make a decision to allow an increase.  Are you only able to push a button?  I would like a human to make a decision."

And she got really defensive and started defending the system saying that it was designed to make decisions for reps and they have to go by what the system says.  That is beyond ignorant.

Tried it--it dissolved the enamel off my teeth! (told you I'm a weenie)

I used to like Molson and Moosehead --not English, but they do spell words with that funny "ou" everywhere (on my honour!)

Well, the plumbers just left after cheerfully telling me that I will have no kitchen plumbing for the next day and a half, and that they will proceed to rip holes in the lower level ceiling first thing Wednesday morning, so it might take a few rounds to process that pesky CLI! Smiley Tongue
