So I had a 1k visa from my local CU, and it worked well for me until my scores improved dramatically over the past 9 months. I asked for a $2500 CLI which they approved, my interest rate also went from 14% to 10%... But what I didnt realize is even though I get to use the same card, they actually closed the accound and opened a new one.... So now my it looks as though I have a new account on my CR lowering my AAoA....
Should I call my CU and ask them if they could change the date opened to match the original card since all I wanted was a CLI and not a new account.
Definitely call the CU and see why that is reporting as a new account. I hope it gets fixed for you.

I don't see a reason why they would not be able to change the "Open Date" to reflect the old account. Heck, Fingerhut did that just recently (and I think they did it for many people, not just me). If they can do it, I don't see why the CU couldn't.
Best of luck. Keep me posted!
