So the approval email said 30K
and said 7.9% for balance transfers if done within 90 days...
Didnt say anything about 'qualified' applicants... it was in the actual approval message
I balance transfered 28K to the NASA card....
and i get my fist statements (they are listed as purchases, instead of balance transfers... which usually are like cash advances)
And at 14.6% (the standard apr)
I emailed and recieved a response that 7.9% is only for 660 fico or higher at time of approval... yours was 651
Should I Call and comlain... thats not what i was 'quoted' in writing
I woudnt have BT it!
DId the approval documents they mailed over have the BT offer? Or just an email? I don't have a NASAFCU card, but most issuers mail over the actual documents with the official offer. Does it say anything?
Also, if the email is misleading, I'd call and escalate the issue if they can't resolve it. I am no expert here, but I'd be pissed if they offered me something in the approval email that I relied upon to do a BT.

This happened to a friend of mine, she called and spoke to someone about getting the rate she saw in the approval email. After back n forth NASA gave in. Call them up and tell them about the email.
The devil is in the details, but it sounds like the details are in your favor.
Good luck, and stay on them!

Not necessarily, the app page and T&C state:
7.9% for balance transfers made within 90-days of account opening for qualified applicants, based on creditworthiness. The 7.9% will remain in effect for the life of balances transferred within the first 90-days of account opening. Balance transfers made after 90-days of account opening do not qualify for 7.9%.
Good luck with this.

I think these are the points that wernt clearly defined for the OP in the offer, and now they are using a number against him to define them after the fact.
I get the feeling that if the OP wasnt going to get the terms he was offered, he would like to have been notifed first.
Thats my take.
I did see this after the fact
But the approval email shows approved 14.6% APR
You WILL Receive 7.9% BT 90 Days For Life
Here is the actual email:
What does it say in the terms and conditions that came when you got the card in the mail?
Interesting. I bet they will fold as it wasn't spelled out clearly at all.
