Well, I got antsy again...I have been a memeber with NFCU since February and I have a secured credit card with them, that I've rarely carried a balance on and always made multiple payments throughout the month. I applied late last night for one of their mediocre cards that I have been previously denied for.
I had to freeze my Equifax report because I noticed some unauthorized inquiries on there and thought that was my best course of action. They have always pulled EQ in the past (which is my worst), but I got a notice from Credit Karma today that they pulled TU. TU is my highest score at a fico of 643, I still have a small charge off with Macy's on there and that stupid collection from Midland, but everything else is clear. I have no missed payments and a UTIL of about 12%.
When I applied I got the 3-5 day message and no updates since! Ugh. So anxious! Anyone have any idea if you think I'd be approved or not? I go crazy with the waiting game and I know I've checked the status at least 30 times today. Haha. I read on some other posts that a lot of times people will get messages saying "a decision will be made in one day" or something along those lines, I'm afraid since I haven't received anything, that it's going to be a denial. However, when I have applied in the past and got the 3-5 day message, I was usually notified of my denial within a few hours. Ugh. I am overanalyzing. Somebody tell me what they think...

I just want to encourage you with something. I know your scores are slowly improving and the temptation is to app for what you were denied earlier. However, 1 app leads to 2, then 10, next 30.......I know because I did it. I almost completely derailed any progress I made. Now I have to sit and garden for 6 months to undo the damage. Take your time buddy. You'll be in prime time shortly. I share this because I wish I had listened when others told me the same. God bless.
I'm definately gardening after this to let my inquiries aged and give myself time to prove myself further to the cards I do have. Thanks for the advice, it's always welcomed!
