Happy 2015 MyFico.
I'm not sure if this has been posted already but just in case, thought I'd share that NFCU has a 2.99% offer on balance transfer. It states it's for new and existing customers. ![]()

oops I found it.......only for 12 mos though......so a large amount transferred may require a high monthly payment to take advantage of the 2.99
Anyone know how to do this so that the money goes into my bank of america checking account? Should I use my debit card number as the credit card number and my local branch address for the bank's address?
What I'm trying to do is payoff my macys account, but I have the macys american express account and then it has the separate account number for my store account. I'm afraid that if I put the amex account number into the sytem that it will payoff that balance which I don't owe anything on that card. I don't have my store account number since on the statement it's all x'd out. Anyone know if I went into the store if they will give me the account number?
Any help would be appreciated ![]()
I was approved for a 10K NFCU cash reward card last week and it just showed up on my on-line statement. How long does it take to get the card? I want to use it to transfer 4K balance from CSP (15.99%) to the Navy card (2.99%). This will allow me to pay off the balance in 3-6 months. However, the promotion is only good until the end of February and, as stated previously, the discounted rate is only good for one year. I have no other CC balances. BTW, I was denied a checking line of credit, something I didn't understand but tried for it anyway. NFCU said I didn't have the qualifications but they did give me the card and approved my membership I received the CU card yesterday. Now I need to cultivate a relationship with my new old credit union. Thank you.

You'll get the card in next day or so.
Balance transfer is easy. You can do it from the website. Just use the address found on the credit card bill of the account you want to pay off. The transaction shows up as a cash advance on the NFCU card but I was told that it will be at the 2.99% rate for 1 year after the transaction occurs. You must do this by the end of February to get the promo rate. I paid off $4K CSP (16%) bill with the NFCU cash rewards card I just obtained.

Hey Analog9, do you know how many days it takes a balance transfer to post?
