NFCU CashRewards not visa signature?

I just recieved my CashRewards card from NFCU today and it  doesnt have the visa signature logo, not does it mention anything about it in any of the paper work. But when I applied and even going to their website just now they advertise it as a signature visa. What gives?

Re: NFCU CashRewards not visa signature?

any bank or credit union will advertise the highest end option for their cards (ie signature or world elite MasterCard) but with visa imparticular they're pretty set on you having a $5k minimum starting limit. so if you're under $5k it's just a normal visa. you aren't missing out on much though, especially if you have even a basic amex. same things basically

Re: NFCU CashRewards not visa signature?

*By clicking "Apply now," you are applying for a cashRewards credit card account. If your application is approved for an account with a credit line of less than $5,000, you will receive a cashRewards Visa Card. If your credit line is $5,000 or greater, you will receive a Visa Signature cashRewards card. cashRewards benefits differ from Visa Signature cashRewards benefits; however, both cards receive rewards of 1.5% cash back on purchases.

unfortunately with a 1k approval, its just platinum. but like the other poster said, signature benefits are really nothing to get worked up about. yes, there are good benefits but it also looks nicers as signature visa lol.

congrats on your approval. u will get a signature visa eventually.

Re: NFCU CashRewards not visa signature?

they take a while sometimes. i did a PC in june from a goRewards to a cashRewards and got the card like a week later then did a cli from my $1k to $5k and the visa signature took over 2 weeks lol

call the credit department and ask them to enroll you in auto CLIs so you can do SP CLIs on the site later. read the NFCU thread from creditaddict

Re: NFCU CashRewards not visa signature?

Out of curiosity-

I have a Visa Signature cashRewards, and when I got it, I was taken by how attractive it was. Especially with the thick stock and the matte finish.

Is the regular (non-Signature) Visa all plastic and not as good looking? I had no idea they would be different.

Re: NFCU CashRewards not visa signature?

yeah they quality of plastic is similar but the finish of the print is almost cartoon-like. really bright green.. looks like you're pulling out a green apple all shiny and stuff. the signature is a deep green with glossy emblem and much more mature looking.
