I recently called in about a recent fraud case (with my SM BarclaysCard) and explained to them that my accountant recommended me to apply for EMV to further stronger security towards my accounts. 4 days later (1-5-15) I received the card and noted then it was in fact Chip & Pin. The card is the one I have in the signature with the same limit.
ONE TIME FOR NAVY FEDERAL!!!
Just to confirm- NFCU sent you a new card with an EMV chip?
I've never heard of them offering that. I wonder how hard it is for a lender to put a chip on a card...

Yes they just start issuing them as off late December. They had the cards months before for people residing in Europe (for testing purposes) but now are issuing them to everyone as part of the next year deadline.
Actually mine came in November (didn't request it, they just sent it to me). Haven't had a chance to use it yet - tried at Walmart a couple of times and it crashed the terminals

Were you part of the test for the Chip & Pin Cards? The rep on the phone informed they were issued earlier particularly for people that resided outside the US.
Hmm, I don't think I was part of any test group. I had inquired about one a while ago before I went on an overseas trip, but they didn't say anything about putting me on any kind of advanced list. I'm just more curious if my PIN change worked. SDFCU wouldn't allow you to change the PIN.

I know you can change the pin with the NFCU CC but you may have to try it like 3 or 4 times before it goes through according to what rep said on the phone. I see you have a Discover IT card. Have you tried getting an EMV with that card yet?
