Yeah and adding to this, if you just do a partial reallocation instead of closing and moving the limit, neither card is eligible for a CLI for 6 months.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I thought I made it clear but maybe not. I wrote them again to make it clearer in another message. If it doesn't work I will call. Next i'm doing a combo on discover, that will help me eliminate 2 cards and make those both over $10,000 cli's.

Just bumping this to thank everyone for chiming in and helping the OP on this with the exact steps to get it done.  Got my 2nd message back from them after agreeing to the terms (including the 6 month moratorium on CLIs) and my Flagship is all set.  (Of course full limit will not show in app until tomorrow but it's there in the available credit.)  Calendar now marked for July or August to ask for that last $3500.

Way to go @K-in-Boston 🤩.  I remember the only thing that prevented the max CL across all 3 CCs was literally $500 😛.  I tried a couple of times since it was SP, but each time it was the "max exposure" message.  So, I left it alone for a while, then one day sitting on the porch I submitted for a $500 CLI on one of the older cards and it was approved (SP).
