NFCU seems to be stepping up their game to compete with the other guys... I've been getting marketing information on additional benefits. The really cool one I got was the $100 travel credit... I'm hoping they make this feature permanent.

They should be the first credit union to offer points transfer partners (i.e: Delta, Hilton, Jet Blue, American Airlines, etc.)
I wish I had received that targeted offer.
Probably need to use my card more 😬
There are a lot of things NFCU could do to improve the competitiveness of their credit cards. At present, they are not an industry leader in any category of card.
1. Turn Flagship Rewards into a true travel credit card with transferable points.
2. Increase the rewards rate on the cashRewards card from 1.5% to 2%.
3. Decrease the minimum redemptions on the Go Rewards and More Rewards from $50 to $5.
Yeah I got the Flagship and I am terribly underwhelmed. But it is still my highest CL.
Sandman keep gardening those limits will be way up before you know it!
yeah have to tackle my UTI over the next couple of months then in November when my first one is 6 months old I'll try the CLI route again to see if they will bite. lol

Though this is all true, but what they lack for in competiveness, they make up for in their CL's
Bummer I did not get the offer, but I only recently started using it after they gave me a great deal: zero APR for 12 months with zero BT fee.!
A travel credit would make it interesting, indeed.
My main issue with the Flagship card, though, is the 'points' system... I've yet to see a definitive explanation on the NFCU site as to what a point is worth with this product. On their website it says "A complete rewards catalog is available to cardholders via Account Access", which is absolutely useless to someone who doesn't yet have the card.
I have found additional clarification on blogger sites, but that shouldn't be necessary. In the time it takes to dig around and decipher their point system I can apply and be approved for a competitor's card. This is a marketing 'miss', IMO.
