Re: NFCU.. I should have waited!

I was approved $500. Do you guys think I have a chance of recon for a larger limit?

@I agree with @Anonymous.  It does not hurt to try for a larger limit.  I want you sleeping soundly so I am hoping should you put in a request, it is resolved quicklySmiley Happy.

Re: NFCU.. I should have waited!

Sent it in. Hopefully this works:
Thank you for approving my credit card application. I appreciate the $500 credit you have extended to me. However, I was hoping that you could possibly increase my limit to around $10,000. This would allow me to healthily use my credit card without negatively impacting my utlilization ratio, and will allow my credit score to improve. You can see from my credit report that I have managed my credit card accounts immaculately since my Chapter 7 Bankruptcy which was an unfortunate side effect of my husband's business going out of business due to our largest client going bankrupt. I am also planning to move my banking to NFCU, and if I can make my NFCU CC my primary spend card, it will be very easy for me to make payments and have all my spend as well as save accounts in the same place. Your assistance is much valued.

Re: NFCU.. I should have waited!

It was a no-go. Here's what they said:

Thank you for your message. Because we take our members concerns seriously, we conducted a second review of your application. However, after careful consideration, we have determined that we must stand behind our original decision. The credit line was based on information reporting to your credit report in conjunction with your limited Navy Federal tenure. We invite you to apply for a credit line increase after 6 months of positive card history. We regret that we are not able to reach a favorable decision at this time.

Should I try to recon via phone? Or should I just start building with the SL of $500?
