Re: NFCU...IS IT WORTH IT?

I highly recommend you apply for a checking and savings account with Navy Fed. I recently applied and was approved for my accounts last Monday. Last Friday I applied for 2 Credit cards with them and were approved this Monday for both cards. I'm debating applying for a car loan this week Smiley Very Happy!!  Honestly NFCU has been good to me and gave me a chance that others would'nt so I'm certain if they are taking care of me, they will do the same for you. Get those accounts and build a good relationship with them.

Re: NFCU...IS IT WORTH IT?

Got a call from them this morning to verify last four of social and mother maiden name which was odd considering I gave that last night. The call was from a VA number so I assume it was legit. He said should have a response within 24hrs. Will call them to verify someone truly called me. Hope I didn't give my info to a CA.

Woo Hoo!  Congratulations.

If you have online access to your account you'll see the credit card showing up as one of your accounts.  Click on it and you'll see your limit or you can call the toll free number.

Congrats!!!!

Re: NFCU...IS IT WORTH IT?

HERE IS THE RECAP OF EVENTS:

Day one, I applied for their savings acct only, got approved on the next day after faxing docs. The same evening of the approval I app'd for the nRewards card via phone and got the 3-5 mssg. Day 3 received a call for me to verify a couple things like last four of social, mothers maiden name and one other thing. Two hours later received text that I was approved for the nRewards. Day 4, I received a call from a rep to go over their services, they talked me into getting a checking account, enrolled me in the online services and I setup passcodes for online and for my debit card. This call took about 20mins or so. The rep said I was pre-approved I thought for the cash rewards card, but also offered the platinum card. I applied for the platinum card and got the 3-5 day mssg. Day six Saturday afternoon I received a call to verify I applied for the Platinum MC and said it would be another 24-48hrs before I would know one way or the other. Day eight I received a text I was approved for the MC.

All of the above led to 5 hard pulls - 2 hard pulls on Equifax and 3 on TU. Two of them on TU clearly state "visa". I am guessing they pulled EQ for the Savings & Checking and TU for the actual cards I applied for, one is Visa and the other is MC.

I now have two major credit cards that are not secured and I know will grow with me. YIPPY!!!! Thank you MYFICO FORUMS!!! I could not have done it without you, oh and the credit repair company I used, too lazy to do it myself. All in 5 short months!!
