NFCU NavCheck question!

I have a $15k loc that I never use.  Saturday I had to buy a gift certificate from a nail salon that SURPRISE didnt take credit or debit.  I had some checks and wrote a check thinking I'd hop online and transfer $ from my external USBank acct to the NFCU checking.  Just saw where I can only tranfer to either my NFCU credit card or LOC

Which would be better, let the checking account pull from Navcheck when it clears, or can I go in and transfer $40 to my Navcheck, basically overfunding it, so when it pulls that $40 its still sitting at $15K?

The reason my checking has $10 in it is I havent transferred my banking from US Bank yet, I only deposit my work expense checks into NFCU checking and then I immediately transfer that to my NFCU credit card which I used for the expenses.

AMEX Green charge NPSL | NFCU Cashrewards Visa Sig $25,000 | NFCU Navcheck $15,000 | AMEX Everyday $15,000 | Discover IT $19,000 | Amex BCP $18,000 | Cap1 Quicksilver $5000 | Firestone $2,400 I Amex Oasis Optima (recovery card) $500 (closed July 2014)

i wouldn't worry about it unless you just can't have a new balance report on something because you are in underwriting for mortgage or something but it's just $40.

Re: NFCU NavCheck question!

It bothers me because even though I know what this LOC is in place for, I am still technically writing a check on an account that doesn't have enough funds lol. Just doesn't feel right. Its just a mental thing. I actually went and bopped around my US Bank account and found something called PopMoney where I could wire money from my USBank account to an external one. I paid 75 cents to have it there tomorrow Smiley Happy Hopefully it will beat the check, assuming the nail salon deposited it yesterday
