The Platinum is an attractive card, the cashRewards (that green) is ugly yeah lol. I'm joint on the Plat, used it for 0% transfer, the green is mine individually. You would have to wait to PC from what I've read (though I'm not sure that law applies to CUs), but you can call and ask them, they don't bite, they really seem to have no problem with questions. They also seem to have little to no problem issuing both to a person.
Hey, I like my green cards.
More to the point, is there something about the rewards structure on the Cash Rewards that doesn't float your boat? What do you want instead?
Or are you seriously looking at changing a card simply because of the way it looks?
I would think that they might be willing to issue you a new card without requiring a PC ~ I recall that I had several designs to choose from when I signed up for the Plat card, I went with the globe. I like the Iwo card and also the Aircraft carrier too....
For the Plat we got the monogram (it reminds me a bit of the AMEX Zync actually), I don't recall seeing a choice of designs for the cashRewards to replace the green. I do have to say, although it's an ugly card, I like the the way I'm treated by the place that backs it! At least so far lol.
I might have to start referring to the NFCU CashRewards "green" card as my lovable Kermit green credit card lol. Gawd, that was almost mushy.... But NFCU has been friendly from day one, so far, so has Discover.
