NFCU Promo Code vs Acceptance Code

I received an email offer for the Cash Rewards Card which has a Promo Code and one for the GO Rewards card with a Acceptance Code.  Do the codes mean anything?  Are they both invitations to apply?

Do either have the opt out pre screened offer? If do, generally it is a valid preapproval.

In my case, an acceptance code was an approval for a card that I had been denied on a cold app 6 days prior to getting the mailer.

I'd say go for it, it was a hard preapproval for me
