After biding my time, and knowing that they pull EQ, I apped yesterday.
I have the checking & savings with them, my EQ FICO is 733, my last baddie gone from EQ giving me my first totally clean credit report I have ever knowingly had... 32% Util., 6 cards (2 w/balances) ....approved for the nRewards.....25k!!
I love NFCU!
Whoa, mama! Congrats! Looks like that ought to help out on util, too.
Is NFCU easy to join? Is it possible to have anyone join?

Is NFCU easy to join? Is it possible to have anyone join? <--- If you are (or are a sibling/spouse of) active or former military, DoD contractor, federal employee and possibly some others, you can join.
Here is their eligibility checklist for anyone interested.
Congrats to OP and Mo NFCU rocks for real I pulled the trigger yesterday and wait for it ....... I got a 25k Cash rewards card and 5k NavCheck approval. i am thinking about going for the trifecta and doing a refi on my auto loan. Does anyone know if they use the same pull for CC for auto refi I am aware NavChek is a separate pull.
My EQ score is like 682 and my util is about 38% and I have one 6 year old paid collection.
It was either this forum or another where members said NFCU has a diff department for auto loans, one dept for CC loans and another for auto loans. And because of that, they pull your credit again when you app for an auto loan. When I applied for a NFCU auto loan, they pulled TU and when I applied for my nRewards CC they pulled EQ. Hope this helps.

i know, that made me really mad because i asked if they were going to pull again, & the guy said no, it's good for 30 days for whatever you want to apply for. i'm like you're the branch manager, shouldn't you know!!!!
Thanks that helps I wouldn't mind if they pull Tu so they are spread around I have bunch of Inqs on EQ and only like 2 on TU anyways I will talk to them and see if I can get them to pull TU
yeah, definitely can't hurt to ask........they pulled my EQ twice ![]()
