Good news!
I got my NFCU GoRewards in January of this year. I realized that the point system was kind of worthless to me and decided to send them an SM requesting a PC to cashRewards.
I just got a message back that the PC was approved and that my APR has been reduced from 17.99% to 15.65%.
Does the cashRewards come with a lower APR set or did they just see that as the result of a recent AR, my credit improved and they voluntarily lowered my interest rate?
In any event, what a productive day for me! ![]()
Congrats on your PC and APR reduction!! When I requested an APR reduction on my Platinum Visa, which I opened in March of this year, I was told I'd have to wait a year. Way to go!!
Yes, they told me the same thing a month ago! ![]()
Well, in that case maybe I'll try asking, again. What's the worse that can happen? I've heard, "No" before!! Thanks!
Congrats! Have to love how easy it is to PC with NFCU

NFCU has got to be the best financial Institution in America. The CSRs are very easy to talk to and they speak English as their native tounge. CLIs and APR reductions are very easy. They are very good to the Military Members and their families.
NFCU=True American Iconic Financial Institution
Congratulations!
Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!
Congrats! I love my cashRewards
COngrats! I went ahead and did the same thing, asked to PC my nRewards visa to a cashRewards, the request was approved in a day. On top of that, the cashrewards is a visa siggy and they auto reduced my APR! (I've had the card since May). It appears that a PC will allow that somehow, as I was told I would have to wait a year for an APR reduction.
