The other thing you could do is call their electronic services department and tell them you haven't received your online access activation letter yet. You won't be directly asking if your membership was approved, and if they say they'll resend it (or tell you when they sent it) at least they're confirming that you have a membership that they're sending you the access info for.
Can you inbox me ....? I only have their fax #.
Sent you the numbers. Really, regardless of who you get, they've been really friendly and always transfer me to the right department, and the hold times are usually a minute or less.
THANKS! I appreciate your help. ![]()
Np, it's distracting me so I'm not spamming their phoneline asking about my CC app status. I'm thinking I might have to switch my small business banking over to NFCU too at this rate, as long as their fees are reasonable. They just seem so much easier to work with than some other banks/CCCs I've had to deal with before. If only they offered a way to get your EX score (like PSECU does)!
I own several businesses too but I learned the hard way. Don't keep your personal accts where you business bank. Bad experience with Citibank. On CB I read - don't apply for a biz cc where you bank. It made sense but still kinda wondered why. I learned the hard way...its good to have some things as a secrect. Anywho, I want to move my biz accts to a CU too. If you move forward with the NFCU biz accts let me know how it goes for you.

I definitely agree with that. If the business goes south, you don't want them having access to your personal accounts.
Ok, I finally broke down and called today to check on the status of my credit card appliction. Granted, it's only been about a day and half, but nothing had popped up on my online account yet. I basically did it under the pretense of "I don't have direct deposit going to you yet, so wanted to check and see if you needed income verification or anything from me." Did this mostly because I will be out of the office next week and away from a fax machine. The rep said hang on and let me check, pulled it up, and said "Nope, no notes here about income verification or needing anything else. It just says you're approved. Hang on one second and I can give you the details. It looks like the credit line is $16,000 @14.65%."
I about fell out of my chair before I asked him to repeat that. I'm staying calm as I don't have the card yet and this hasn't shown up on my online account. But, with a year plus of serious rebuilding after divorce and prior to that, basically being irresponsible as a college kid, I am floored. I have a $3k Dell account and a handful of credit cards with $750 limits.
I have read a number of great things about NFCU on these boards, and with this, they've made me a believer! Time to start sock drawing some of these starter cards! Thank you to everyone of you who has provided advice and guidance here that has helped me.
My eyes are falling out of my sockets reading all this about NFCU. I have no words right now. Except congratulations, of course! ![]()
