NFCU initial CLI after 90 days, it still works?

I called NFCU because I have not had a statement for April for my credit card.  The rep told me because I didn't make a charge, no statement was generated.  I asked if that would impact negatively on my planned 90-day CLI request.  She said that CLI's are not considered until after 6 months and having not used the card regularly is not good.  She noted that I was approved initially for the card at the beginning of February 2017 and suggested I wait until July! I think I had a rep who is providing wrong information.  Please tell me she is wrong.

Maybe she's just confused.  I thought the 6 months only applied in between CLI's

It's still 90 days and 3 statements for the first CLI....it's also ideal and suggested to wait for a fresh AR that they do every odd month. One was just done for May. The fresh AR can likely increase the instant CLI approval and not kick it to a LO to be reviewed which likely will include a HP.

Ok then it sounds like I'm good to go and can do an online CLI request today?  I opened my credit card on 2/2/2017.  Oh wait, Feb had only 28 days.  So 90 days will be on May 4th.  I will wait until May 5th to be safe.  Y'all agree?

Yes, I'd wait until tomorrow or even the 4th just to be safe. Are you 100% on your start date?

Ok I just double checked and I was actually approved for the credit card on 2/1/2017!

I'd get on the phone and get your stuff dialed in so that in the event it pushes for a review you can cancel hopefully before a HP is done. Unless you don't care about a HP of course.

Good luck!

Are you saying ask for the CLI by phone rather than online?  And if it's not an instant approval then cancel?

Still 90+ and three statements.  I recently received my first cli on day 91.

Did you request online or over the phone?
