NFCU

I was able to join NFCU !  I do work on the base and all they needed was my contractor badge........  I spent an hour in the office today getting set up.   I cam home went through my reports again after the loan officer there told me they like to use Experian.    I had this Credit One card with about 330 bucks on it and decided to apply for a NFCU rewards card.    I knew it was going to be a denial after Citi laughed at me last week.  I entered the information, sighed and hit the button.   I was prepared for the denial.........

It says you've been approved for 17.5k  11.4 interest................ My jaw dropped........

Congratulations! Based on your creditworthiness, you have been approved for a Signature cashRewards Visa. Your credit line will be $17,500.00. Your APR will be prime plus 11.4. You should receive your new card(s) in 7-10 business days.

I have only been working on my credit repair for 45 days.......... I am speechless.......   No I am not planning on spending it up, but it feels good that if I ever needed it, i could pull it out of a drawer and use it..........

Re: NFCU

Congrats nice limit

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: NFCU

Very nicely done OP.  Hard work pays off for sure!  It's funny and coincidental that you got approved for the same CL that I did on my OCCU Duck Visa.

Re: NFCU

I guess its time to get rid of the credit one card for sure..........  would it be benificial or possible for Cap 1 to roll those two cards I have with them into 1 and i wonder if that will affect the AAoA.

That Credit One CC has its days numbered it seems.  Unfortunately, Capital One is unable to combine CLs or CCs, probably best to just leave them as is (depending on annual fee(s) and any customary usage you place on them).  They used to be able to combine accounts several years ago so it's possible that maybe in the not-so-distant future they can revisit that CC consolidation policy.
