Re: NFCU

Hey fender, Smiley Happy

I've gotten that message before. It's to let you know that your
application is still pending. 24-48 hours after you get that msg
they make a decision. Of course, you can always call as well,
but like I told you yesterday, they are really swamped with apps
since they expanded the membership. Smiley Happy

I know patience isn't a virtue of yours and this isn't exactly what
you wanna hear. But the folks who have the authority to make a
decision will get to you as quickly as they can. Smiley Happy

Good luck to you! Smiley Happy

Re: NFCU

Hey fender, Smiley Happy

Give them a call at 888 842 6328 .
Ask to speak with Credit Card Services.

Let them know that you got the same "update email"
2 days in a row with no change in your app status.
Whoever you talk to should be able to give you more
exact information. Also, ask them if they need additional
info (paystubs, etc) in order to expedite the decision process.
If so, they'll give you a fax number directly to their office.

Hope this helps you. Please keep us posted. Smiley Happy

Edit to add: P.S. I got approved for an nRewards Visa and
Mastercard. Originally I was only going to app for 1 card for 4k
but decided to app for both cards at 2k each. Approved no problem.

Re: NFCU

Hey Schoolbuskid, Smiley Happy

NFCU just expanded their membership to include
all DOD military and civilian personnel & family members.
NFCU doesn't have affiliate organizations like PenFed does.

Check the website for more details:

Re: NFCU

I was declined.

Im kind of shocked, based on whogavemecredit.com and CBP database, I thought I was a shoe in.

There reason was:
Derogatory credit bureau references

This sucks *** I was really counting on this TL.

Re: NFCU

Hey fender,

I'm sorry to hear that you were turned down. Smiley Mad

If your derogs are items that can be cleaned up
within the next 60-90 days, give NFCU another try
after everything is taken care of.

You could apply for a collateral loan ( like an auto
loan or secured loan ) in order to establish a track
record with them. Then try again after a few months
for an unsecured loan/cc and see what happens.

Once again, I'm sorry things didn't work out for you.
Keep your chin up. Smiley Happy
