NFL card

I know many haven't applied recently but does any know if the NFL card is subject to the 6/24 soft rule like the AA personal, Hawaiian and Wyndham have been lately?  My sister was denied for the "Black card" with an 810 score and very high income for 9 accounts in 2 years.  I know that one is Barclay too, so didn't know if they are rolling this out for all cards.

I called the UW line and they said they can't tell me w/o applying.

Also, noticed the Packers card is the only one that is a WMC not a Visa.

Re: NFL card

They're probably using an old image for the Packers card as the NFL is currently partnered with Visa.

Re: NFL card

A variety of their cards have adopted similar UW criteria.  That said, a pretty strong or solid profile can often times overcome those strict UW requirements, but outcomes will always vary since their algorithms can be all over the place.

What were the reasons cited for the Black Card denial?

The only reason she had was for the amount of recently opened accounts.  I had her recon and they just repeated it.

That's a classic and common BarclayUS response.  They especially shy away if some of those accounts were opened within the last 6 months.   The standard roadmap with them is to wait 6 months without applying anywhere for additional credit and then consider trying again.

Although in reality IMO they likely did her a favor by rejecting her Black Card application, as there are a number of other cards with approx the same AF with better benefits, or conversely roughly equivalent benefits at a lesser AR.
