Re: NUFC cashRewards is now a Visa or a MasterCard?

Both. This is from their Terms & Conditions. This is how it was when I applied for my cashRewards last year. I qualified for and received the cashRewards Visa Signature.

"cashRewards Cards: If your application is approved for an account with a credit line of less than $5,000, you will receive a Visa cashRewards Card or a cashRewards Mastercard. If your credit line is $5,000 or greater, you will receive a Visa Signature cashRewards Card or a cashRewards World Mastercard. The benefits for Visa cashRewards or cashRewards Mastercard accounts differ from those for Visa Signature cashRewards and cashRewards World Mastercard accounts."

I was on the portal just looking for a bonus for a friend today and saw the mastercard, a chat popped up and the rep said one gets to choose during the app.  I dont remember a radio button for that, maybe the rep was wrong

I didn't get to choose when I apped for the cashRewards or the Flagship. Both were issued as Visa Signature.

how long ago.  I have had the visa for years, if I log in now all I see is a way to app for the mc, not another visa.  I dont use the card, just curious more than anything

When I got my cashRewards in September it was VISA with no option but I have heard from others that you get to choose during the app now if you want VISA or MC so it must be a new thing.

I've had the cashRewards Visa for a year now. The Flagship was listed in my Offers Section and I apped for it this past December.

Not sure how to chose between Visa and Mastercard. Maybe apply by phone.

I'm sure if you really wanted the other flavor they would be willing to PC the card.

A credit line of > 5k would be needed for Signature and World MC.

The Cash Rewards & Go Rewards can be Visa, Visa Signature, Mastercard or World Mastercard.
The Flagship can only be Visa Signature.
The Platinum and nRewards can be vanilla Visa or Mastercard.

one picks on the splash page of the portal.  one cannot pc between different networks.  I think they are moving away from visa for this card based on browser results.  makes sense in one regard as the conversion is often better with MC in europe

Seems like others have had luck with NFCU PCing between networks.
