Navy Fed PC questions

So I messaged NFCU about doing a PC from nRewards to a goRewards Visa Signature. They agreed that it can be done, but that it would raise my APR from 13.25 to 18% APR. Can anyone with the goRewards chime in on if its better points wise or worth converting? Sometimes I do carry a balance, so the 5pt jump in APR seems a little steep. Im not sure if the rewards are worth it. Although my nRewards card points system is only 1for1 and has been growing so slow to purchase anything worthwhile!

Well for the bonus rewards it's not even close.  I've never had the N Rewards card but just looking at it online depending on how much you use it, I think it could be a huge difference.   Also how long and how large of a balance would make a difference.  You would have to look at that and decide what makes the most since for you and remembering that you can get a reduction every year on the APR.  But as far as just the cards go.... Go Rewards win.

Re: Navy Fed PC questions

I suppose youre right. Max balance I carry is maybe 600? And thats maybe 5% of my limit. So it isnt a substantial amount. If the reward structure is better I think I may just make the switch. Plus, Ill have the extra of it being a Visa Signature. Free perks are useful. I think I just dislike the fact of APR raising after obtaining a better card. I guess its a tradeoff they make. Ah well,  Im gonna miss the blue nRewards card. I think it looks the best out of all NF credit cards!! The nostalgia effect after 6 years with it.
