Just received this BT offer in my inbox!
Transfer your non-Navy Federal balances to your Navy Federal Credit Card ending in XXXX, and you could save with a 3.99% APR on the transferred balance for 18 months. After that, your variable Standard APR applies.
I've gotten nothing so far. Platinum with a $21,000 credit line and a $127 balance and a Flagship with a $30,500 credit line and a $3,000 balance. Waiting to see if they send me an offer. If not going to debate on closing. If they don't send one with $50k in available credit they'll never send one. Doesn't make sense if they want you to use the product.
So here I am going down the forums rabbit-hole 🤣 and I come across this topic. And like everyone, I scour my email searching for this, for me anyway, elusive balance transfer offer that I can't recall ever receiving and what drops in my email this very evening 😂. Yeah, let's take advantage of this thing!
NFCU once had a 0% offer,no fee of any kind, for 12 months.... but i assume they lost a lot of money with that offer and will not be offereing it again. If you really need to do a balance transfere, find what ever the best one you have access to, and pay it off as soon as possible.DCU currently has a 0 % no fee , but it;s for certain members only.
Chatted with a nice lady over there this morning. Got the usual we're sorry. No balance transfer offers tied to your cards right now. 🙄 I guess that $50k in credit earning them $0 will continue to earn them $0.

Found this online related to opening a Platinum card
"Transfer your non-Navy Federal balances within 60 days of account opening, and you'll pay a 0.99% intro APR on balance transfers for 12 months"
I received this offer on 1-16-24 for my Flagship Visa, 3.99% for 18 months no BT fee. I called and asked if only my Flagship was eligible, but they could not verify that.

Obviously NFCU has tightened up but I wonder if credit usage also plays in a factor in a decision to issue one.
I can remember when I used the card frequently and had the 0$ BT offer every year.
Ive been seeing people complaining all over on the credit sites like CK, Credit Sesame, here etc... how they cant get a balance transfer to cards that dont even offer 0%.. they are talking like transferring a 29% card to a 25% which I guess if there's no fee and you're that strapped, it's okay... and I would get why you'd wanna go to 14.5% from 20+ but seems like some folks are desperate and don't understand how the BTs work.
until about 2012/2014.. my lowest fixed APR was 9.24% with cap one, and they would let me BT any balances with $0 BT fees from 15-30% store cards so I did that, but some folks are trying to basically balance transfer a 30% card to another 30% card. I dont get that.
