I was under the impression that we could move credit limits across different cards. I tried sending them a message but was informed that I couldn't. For context, I have three cards with Navy FCU and have reached their aggregate limit of $80k. I was considering making the Flagship my daily card (except for dining, groceries, and gas) to replace the X1. While the X1 has been fun to use and I've redeemed over $4,000 in rewards, all the buzz about them randomly closing accounts and confiscating accrued rewards doesn't sit right with me. So, I guess I'll switch to using SoFi as my new daily card, which I believe now earns 2.2 points.
They officially don't allow it but until a couple of years ago if you called and asked there was a reasonable chance they'd do it as a one-off. Last I had heard is that they tightened up where it's generally a no-go but they might consider doing it if it's absolutely needed to facilitate an inbound balance ttansfer, which would be consistent with the message you received.
As mentioned above it is doable but on a case by case situation whether calling in or internal messages have always moved CL's with them in their internal messaging system and gave supporting reasons and was never an issue for me. Sure many things are considered esp with current charge off being higher they might be more hesitant as well. It is possible though.
As others have stated it can be done I was at threshold as well but I asked to close other card and move to it over to my other card. I they did approve but that was close to a year ago. I now only have 2 cards with them
I got it done a year ago, I wrote in that I wanted to combine so I can use my Flagship more (I told them I never go above 10%). I couldnt tell them big balance transfer as others have done since everything is paid off monthly. They called the next day to verify that I wanted it and transferred everything on the spot.

This is what i plan to do soon. Want to move the $40k from my More Rewards to my Flagship and make it $80k and close the More Rewards as its redundant with my current lineup.
