I am sure this has already been posted, but I just noticed Navy now has pre-approval suugestions for their credit cards. New to me. I hope this is helpful if anyone didn't know.
Navy has always had a pre-qual tool, but take suggestions with a grain of salt.
Not the most reliable, or guaranteed. The forums are a more reliable tool. 😉

The thing with Navy preapprovals is that since they started providing them a critical mass of data points has been gathered showing that they are unreliable. I haven't seen anyone claim that this has been addressed.

They've had it for awhile now. It's not reliable and probably shouldn't be trusted.
That's the only thing wrong with Navy, that's it. They're the best, I love them 😅

Actually, this is rather new. They did not have a prequal tool when i joined in 2017. Ill sum up their prequal like this, if you get approved, it works, if you get declined, its a BOA prequal😁

Not reliable at all. When I was applying over the phone for the Flagship (my 3rd Navy card) even the customer service rep with Navy said to me it was not reliable. She stated she had seen people get pre approved but then denied once they applied. Take it with a grain of salt.
It works enough to tell me I'm only pre-qualified for a secured card since I'm at my maximum internal limit.

Brian Earl Spilner, sounds like a serial killer. Is that what you are?
But yeah their pre-qual tool is wortless. They said I was good to go for all products when I knew very well I wasn't.
