I have two CC (credit cards) with the NFCU (Navy Federal Credit Union). Each CC earns points witch are used to buy merchandise through their memberdeals portal. As far as I know, you can only get to into the memberdeals portal through your the NFCU's online banking website. The memberdeals portal allows you to earn a pre-designated multiple points per dollar spent shopping online. For example, Walmart.com is 2 points, thus if you spent $10 at Walmart.com through the portal, you would earn 10 points from the credit card directly plus 20 points from Walmart.com. That is a total of 30 points.
There is no obligation to use the actual CC that you have with the NFCU. Therefor I normally use my 2% cash back card with the memberdeals portal to maximize CB (cash back).
My problem is any purchase I make through the portal, to any merchant other than Walmart.com, does not get counted. At first I thought it was the browser blocking cookies. But I made changes the browser so that it does not block cookies, yet no other vendors point will post.
Anyone experience this with the NFCU memberdeals portal?
When you click the Member Deals link, a little pop-up appears telling you that you are leaving the NF site and that you must use your NFCU card to earn rewards.
"You are leaving the Navy Federal website to go to Member Deals.
You must use your Navy Federal credit card to earn rewards in Member Deals. Navy Federal is not responsible for the products, services, content, security or privacy policies on any external sites."

I think you are mistaken about the part that I have highlighted in red font.
I did not see the pop up you referenced, at first. But I did see it after I changed my browser settings. Ironically, it was this website that made me believe you did not have to use a NFCU credit card to earn point at the members' mall.
Here are the exact post:
This person shopped at Walmart.com on NFCU member mall and used Walmart's 3% MasterCard

This post flat out writes you don't need to use NFCU CC according to the terms and conditions:

Up until recently I only use used the memberdeals shopping portal for Walmart.com. I used my 2% cash back, non NFCU CC , and always got my points. All other merchants don't work hence the reason for this post.
I can only conclude that Walmart.com erroneously gives points even though I am not using NFCU CC.
The 2 posts that you are referring to are almost 2 years old. That info in itself would make me research more to see if it's still that way. But it's all good, now you know better. Happy point earning.

Fair enough. However, the first time I ever used the NFCU member deals shopping portal was in January of 2018. That would have made the info two months old at the time.
I also lost my last purchases from the Microsoft store. I got the email that points were awarded but they weren’t credited to the card. I used another card because I was in the process of doing a product change request and didn’t know if a balance would mess that up. Lesson learned, I’ll use my card in the future. Fortunately it wasn’t much, I think $2.
