Hello all, 😁
I would like to product change my NFCU cash rewards credit card to a Flagship what is the easiest way to go about it Also, for anyone who has done it recently can you tell me how long it took to complete the change . Any guidance would be appreciated and thank you all again! BTW, the card is over a year old 💕.
I product-changed from More Rewards to Flagship via secured message. It took two back-and-forth responses with the CSR ,since they needed to confirm that this was what I wanted to do. If I recall, the change took a couple hours, then the Flagship card image appeared in my account.
Just like the underwriting criteria on a new Flagship card, I believe you would need at least a 5K CL on your Cash Rewards.
Thank you for your time and your response! 🌈✨😁
If you already have established credit relationship with them for at least 3-6 months, and if your file is clean, just apply Flagship right away. They will give a very generious SL.
My first card with them was the cashRewards - SL $500 -> $1500 (91/3) -> $4500 -> $10K
After 3 months, I applied for Flagship, they gave me immediately $10k -> $14K (91/3) -> $20K
So, rather than PC, IMHO, just apply to take advantage of generous SL.

I did that exact product change earlier this month. I called. The phone call took seven minutes. I asked them to expedite the delivery of the physical Flagship card. That cost $12, but I had it in hand the next day. Good luck!
+1 on the apply idea. Navy is generous with 2nd cards, and am I crazy but I *think* there's a chance at a soft pull only?

Not with Navy. Amex maybe, but even that isn't guaranteed.
My experience is three years old but I called and they took care of it in about 5 minutes. Had new cards in hand in a week.
