Navy offer: 10k points for $2k spend on existing Flagship

I got an email from NFCU today, offering 10,000 points on my Flagship ($100 value) for spending $2,000 between 11/1 and 12/31.  I can't actually activate it yet because it's not showing up in the Offers section of the app, but I think that's just because there's a different offer still shown there that ends today. I'm guessing the new offer will appear tomorrow. 

I can't tell if it's targeted or not. The email subject line is "Curious_George2, Get the Gift of Extra Bonus Points 🎁"

Stating the obvious, this is effectively 5% cashback, on top of the 2% this card typically gets on uncategorized spend. Nice little offer.

The 10,000 points posted within a day or two of when I passed the $2k spend threshold. They even sent me an email, telling me I earned the bonus. Great job, Navy!

As others have said, it's not obvious on paper that Flagship is a worthwhile card to have, but bonuses like this tip the balance in favor of me keeping mine. 

The Amazon Prime credit helps too, but that's a separate thread.

Must have been targeted unfortunately because I didn't get that offer. Granted I opened my card in late 2022 and it shows the intro offer as expired from when I opened it that expired in Feb of 23 so maybe they just wouldn't give two offers out like that so close to each other.

I got the offer, and 11/4 got my bonus.  It was a nice bonus especially with the holiday's approaching.
