Need help applying for a wamu card

I tried to apply for a card and the website said that card applications were only open to members.  Is this the case or am I on the wrong website.

yeah that is correct, you need to have a bank account with them or you should get a pre-approval letter from them.

If you need to borrow a pre-approval letter, there are several thousand in my shredder. They finally wore me down though and I apped them. Their philosophy works, I guess. It will live in my sock drawer once it gets here.

I rather imagine that a minor little savings account with them would get you on the mailing list. Unless you are opted-out. If you are, a click of the mouse will fill your mailbox.
