Need help with Discover CLI. How high to go?

Hi everyone, So in preping my app spreee I am planning on hitting up my only card DISCOVER for a CLI "SP" only if available. to help boost my inital CL with others

DIscover open 3/13 $500

11/13 SP jump to $3000 asked and got no questions asked

4/14 SP jump to $7500 asked for 10K they countered at 7k.

now after my updated TU(08) FICO from them posts on discover I should be 770 or little more on the 5/18 I am first going to ask for lower APR fom the 19.8% I am at. then after my may statement cuts the 24th gonna wait one week after which will be early june and "9" weeks since last CLI. I Want to try for a jump. The options for CLI has been present on phone and online. I have done all my SP CLI through regular phone reps.

Should I just ask for 20K and see what they counter?? or should I ask for 13K which is less then a double of CLI from my 7K?? SHould you always shoot the moon for CLI?? At whatt point does Discover ask for more documents?? Has anyone been asked by discover for tax or income proof??

Should I phone rep?? online?? Phone auto??

These are all computer generated yes, no, counter offer if I am correct. ARE THEY DIFFRENT COMPUTER YES or NO's though??

I pushed and bought and PIF almost every month a total of 19K for last 14 months through them. I owe $70 aprox 1% util to them.

well since you seem to get counters and good luck with the sp CLI I don't think it much matters how much you ask for.

if you want to get the full say $20k, you would probably have to take the hp for manual review.

The 90days for Discover CLI is YMMV I think "HOPE". A few people get CLI with discover within a few weeks of each other if I remember all the posts I have read. Most they hold off I think for 90 days or 180days. I am going to see what happens at 9 weeks (63 days) but I am going to try in the 3rd months statement from last CLI (CLI-april,may,june). Last one was a SP CLI on April 3. Has anyone recently tried for CLI with discover within 2 month window of last CLI?

If they tell you its too soon. DO I just have to wait till the full 90days(3 more weeks)  or does me asking start the 90day clock over? Thanks

congrats on all of the sp cli discover love you have gotten. I wish they would sp cli me one day, its just not meant to be.

Thanks everyone. So far so good. This next CLI will be interesting cause I will trying to bend the Discover rules a little i feel. YMMV is for sure with CLI. Has anyone recently hit discover up for CLI in short spans?? Its so weird some people get told they have to wait 180days some 90days. I am going for the  3rd statement after last CLI. which wil be short of 90 days by uo to 3weeks(21days) of lat CLI. Just a little more LOVE from discover and I am set for APP SPREE.

Think I will just ask for 14k and not push it with them too much.  It is  a double from the 7K I am at. Seems fair to me to ask for

Like to give a update.

Called into regular CSR today. Spoke niceley for a couple of minutes told them I would like a NEW CLI. I was asking for a almost 7k jump to 14K. She took info, came back with neither a SP or a HP option said I had to hold for Credit underwriter. Spoke niceley again for a minute to break the ice then told her again what I was asking for. Put on hold came back with a $2500 jump to almost 10K. Woooooooooooooo. Said I cant doublr again. DISCOVER likes to be conservative. Ill take the 10k conservative for now

Another SP in the book. Since opening all SP's ONLY (3sp's) and here we are at 10k doorstep. This was 62 days since last SP CLI. She asked to please wait 90days till next request specificcally though wonder if I can wait that long. ugggggggggggggg
