I just transfered to the cash rewards card and they sent me a signature card as well. I originally asked for it to be a signature but then i realized it might not help me out that much. See my limit is 12k and i paid it down to 7k recently but i heard that BOA reports balances with the signature. What is this going to effect my scoring because my score just jumped up like 25 points after this transition. I'm trying to keep this paid down some and im also trying to ask for a cli but what benefits will this have versus the normal points card. As u can see im trying to do the best possible situation for scoring?
Also what chance do u guys think on a CLI with a balance of 7k and 12k limit?
I got a CLI from 6900 to 9K on a 6000 balance earlier this year. I'm guessing factors including your credit scores and income may affect their willingness to give you a CLI.

My scores are going much higher now as im paying down all my debt. it was 650 last month and now its 714 on equifax, i also paid off all my debt on my store cards and put it on a personal loan so all those revolving cards will show zero balances and 11k off of debt there for a few months until this loan reports.

Just be aware that any customer-initiated CLIs will result in HP and no guarantee on the CLI.

Yep, was definitely a hard pull for me.

I received an increase on my BOA amex earlier in the yrar with a 9, 000 balance. Received increase with soft pull. Requested a 3, 000 CLI on same card Thursday to take to even 20,000 limit, increase granted today. However I'm not carrying a balance on the card. My reports are frozen so I'm assuming its anothet soft pull. I always fill out the form online, never call when I receive pending message, few days later increase is there. No hard pulls from BOA in my case.
Hopefully they hook it up without a hardpull but what im wondering is if i should wait until the stuff i just paid off reports to ask for the cli or do it now? My score is 714 now.
You can request it at any point, just be awayre that score is not the only factor they will consider. For best results, consider your most optimal probability by lowering utilization/balances and letting that information report.
