Neiman Marcus only accepts AMEX?

I regularly shop at the Neimans in Denver.

They will also accept a check as well.

Yes.  They do accepts checks.  As far as I know, they only take Amex in Dallas.  I've only made purcahses with my Amex or check.  I have not tried any other card.

Their store policy has always been different than their online policy.

Amex and NM/BG charge in the store

When I worked for Neiman Marcus about 6 years ago, they were testing Visa/MC acceptance in like 1 or 2 stores, otherwise it's NM, BG, Amex, Cash or Check in store.  Everything online.

Do you know how many people end up opening Neiman Marcus cards becuase of this fact! I don't think they have really lost many clients that they would be interested in keeping

They did have a Neiman Marcus Amex for about 6 months but they cancelled that... hoping they bring it back soon, which I have heard talks of.

What really surprised me was when they sold the entire credit division to HSBC, I didn't think HSBC knew what an unlimited credit line was!
