I tried both of those and was denied for both Slate and Citi Cards. I also was denied for Bank of America that day. I applied for AMEX that day and was approved that day for the Everyday and later BCE. I heard Slate starts with a toy limit anyway so that would have been a slow one to build a credible line if I had been approved.
Just how large a balance do you need to transfer?
Slate turned me down back in January when I had applied and I ended up with AMEX who approved me on 2 cards. I also tried Citi and B of A but they said no. I need $3k for BT's. Congrats on the $9K. I wonder if $9.K is low for a business card? Did you use business or personal data? Income, SS, etc.? Good info. Mucho Gracious!
$3K for the BT's.

Personal data for a sole proprietorship. I applied over the phone as I had some questions. They asked about my expected business revenue and other income I had. They did not ask about my personal investments (a question that came up on past personal card applications).
I'm sure many people get much more than $9k, but keep in mind that when I applied, I already had three personal credit cards with them (comparable limits) and a personal charge card.
I see on your signature that you don't use the BCE or ED much and also the Chase FU. What do you like about the Chase Freedom that makes you use it over the Chase FU? I can't do Chase Freedom until I get out from under 5/24 rule but my cousin has one credit card which is the Freedom card and wonders if he is missing out on the FU card. I think the Chase Freedom to which I could build up would be a good go to card to have.
I myself when I starting chasing AMEX had a couple of pre-qualified offers from Discover IT for the 14 month 0% balance transfer, but I kind of kept that as an arrow in my quiver to see how the other BT Fee free offers for 60 days offers would work out. When I finally decided after the declinations of the other apps. that I would try Discover, I applied with an 18 month 0% with 3% BT fee and was declined. I then called in to Discover to apply for one of the prequal mailers and was declined again. It only cost me one HP but I think I made them think that I was trying everyplace else first and they didn't know what credit I obtained or not. They prefer lighter credit history with few inquiries but I will try them again after a little time has passed. I'm then planning on laying until I can get in the Chase family. Chase actually approved my Jan. application to them with the Chase Amazon for a SL of $3K and after I set up the online account with them I noticed they closed my account before I was able to use it. I was able to do that January Application spree with a total of 4 HP's.

My FU used to be a CSP. I may get a CSP again in the future (or a CSR) and am building up (a very few) URs in case I do.
Freedom lets me accumulate URs at a great 5x rate. If no CSP/CSR, points are still worth 5% cash.
BBP gives me 2x MRs and I can make them miles now without needing another card.
FU would require me to get another card to really unlock UR values, and even with one, FU provides an earn rate that might not beat 2x MRs.
I also prefer the Amex website for reviewing spend.
I may be close to my credit limit with Chase (four cards) and so long as I have Prestige and Hyatt, CSR/CSP would really be more about bonus chasing than providing any real lasting benefits.
What reason did Chase give for closing your Amazon card?
On the day I was approved for Chase Amazon I had read where you can do 2 apps for the same hard pull. So realizing I was over 5/24 rule I found another co-branded card which was Chase AARP and I applied for that later in the day. I got the 7 - 10 or manual review message, I can't remember which and there were a few days of calling into verification and waiting. FInally, I found out that I was denied as they saw I was approved for Amazon and wanted to see how I did with that card first. I had noticed that when I opened an online account for Amazon that there was no credit limit listed. I called into customer service and they told me it was closed. I got a declination letter and it said I had too many open accounts in the last 2 years. I think what happened as they were in the process the 2nd application for AARP manually, they came discovered that I had alot of revolvers on credit bureau and decided to call back the approval for Chase Amazon Prime. I application spree on all the accounts I referenced on Jan. 12th, 2018, being conscious of trying to do as few of hard inquiries as possible so I did the 2 Chase apps. for 1 hard inquiry like I stated above. I don't know if there is a time I need to wait (like 6 months with no new inquiries to apply again for Chase's Amazon Prime, since it is co-branded and not a part of the 5/24 rule or wait out the 2 years as it seems that was the reason they denied me. I don't know what lenders I have dealt with from this post for my application spree from January, but my AAOA is 2 years with Experian and only 10 months for Experian and TU. I like that AMEX does soft pulls and I don't mind using the cards I have and want to get, so as they say, love the one you're with!
