Hope it lasts! When I try to apply for their grocery card, it tells me I have an application in progress. Guess it might be too soon. Anyway, I got a spankin new code if anyone needs one to boost their signup cashback, pm me.
I haven't yet seen anyone get the 3% and the grocery. Though it seems like it is possible through the language on their site. Let us know if you're able to pull that off.

I had called them, way back when it came out, the grocery version. They said, no. One or the other. But who knows, sometimes what the rep says and what actually can happen are two different things? Now with the referral bonus, no time limit to use, on the 3% all spend version, boosted by 1% & 10k for each referral, stacked, this version is a no brainer.

Made my first charge a bit ago. Strange that, while I got an immediate text relating to the charge, there is nothing in the Aven app or on pc, that shows the actual charge. It shows my credit line declined by the amount of the charge, but no running total showing who got paid and how much. Do they track rewards or is that on us? Also, no place to set alerts. Autopay! Makes keeping track of spend more vital. If fraud puts $10K on my card, I get charged if I don't catch it in time? Seems to be a lot of guardrails missing. Definitely, not the typical CC website or methods I'm used to.
Sorry to hear they won't allow both cards... perhaps in the future.
You'll see the charge by tonight or tomorrow, along with the bonus points/dollars next to it. It is kind of a hinky website, looks like they took the app and allowed you to see it on your screen, rather than making a complete website.

I would say that you should be happy that they are offering you 3% on everything. Most cards do not go that high or restrict it to particular categories.

Here's their reply via text chat. Guess I'll wait a year and see how things go. I get 6% grocery from Amex now, with AF, but their perks/deals are worth something too.
"Hello ..... this is Shaira from Aven. At this time, you can only have one Rewards card with Aven. If you would like to apply for the Rewards card that offers 6% cash back on groceries (up to $10,000), you would need to close your current account first and then reapply using this link: https://www.aven.com/rewards-groceries. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions - I'm happy to help!"
Aven is super underrated.
I don't really quite get why everyone is so excited by this particular card? According to their current website language, the rewards details say that "Get 3% cash back on all purchases [f]or the first $10,000 every year, then 2% unlimited after".
Unless @ElvisCaprice and @Turbobuick are on an older or grandfathered version of the card that offers unlimited and non-time-constrained 3% cashback? For me and for 3% cashback, I'll be sticking with my AOD FCU card...I'm not interested in an Aven card that only offers 3% cashaback for the first year only and then thereafter only 2%...
Former cards:DMB Titanium MC @ 90-day, 0% grace period | $4k BEFCU MC @ 5.49% F | $21.9k Citi DPR @ 5.99% F | Chase Platinum MC @ Prime+1.67% |

The idea is that AVEN doesn't have an annual fee, no HP if not approved, and if you use a referral you get an additional 10k @4%, no time limit.
It's not just the first year, 10k @3%, it's every year, it resets annually, then it's 2% unlimited after you use up the 10k @3%, or if new with referral, an additional 10k @4%. That's 20k before the 2% kicks in the first year. Second year, your 3% resets with a fresh 10k and whatever you still have left with the 10k 4% referral SUB left over. (Note: if you get referals you increase that SUB, 1% per referral up to 10%, each increase of 1%, resets the 10k with a full refresh) (I'm at 5%, so I want to use up that 10k first, if possible, before another referral gets added to go to 6% with full refresh on a new 10K) (I'm working on MS'ing this SUB)
The AOD FCU card has additional hurdles for membership and it's a hard pull, with risk of denial. No SUB.
RHG, no SUB, no pull if you do it right and $50 annual membership required, thus if you don't use RH for the membership benefits, it's not worth it, the annual fee. Limited spend. (This is my backup)
Grandfathered Smartly @4%, but FTF. Limited spend
If you only have one of these elevated general spend cards a backup is nice, especially with the AVEN with no limitations on spend, no FTF, no AF and a SUB.
