@Shock wrote:This also raises another question, will they approve a 61 day 3x CLI before it even reports?
And also, for my BCE, I had multiple reasons my score was being affected and I am almost positive I never would have gotten approved had it not been for internal score. How will this affect my 3x odds?
Yes, the reporting will not interfere with your ability to request a CLI. Amex will use your internal score first, then the information supplied from your last sp as it relates to your overall credit profile. Ie new TLs, inqs and util

So I've been reading that Amex takes an extraordinary long time to report. I also read a post that someone let their statement cut with a balance versus PIF before statement close. Overwhelmingly those that did the PIF their CC's took 2 months or more to report.
Well I did what the one poster did by letting my statement cut with a balance. I opened my 1st Amex on 2/27, statement cut 3/23 and reported to CR on 3/25. So this just a data point I thought I would put out if they want their CC to report quickly.
Same for me. Opened BCE on 2/28, statement cut on 3/21 and reported on the 24th. I left a $38 balance on it.
I was anxious for this to reported. I got it backdated to 1990 so was a big boost to my AAoA. I also was able to get my last baddie goodwilled so I have a clean report now! After the Amex reported my AAoA jumped from 1yr to 3 years 6 months, and my EX score jumped 70 points! My first 700+ score is a 757. Can't wait for EQ and TU to catch up, baddie is still showing on TU, amex hasn't reported on EQ.
