It's nice that they have that now, but it's not returning what we would consider to be our "limit" on NPSL, just an additional amount over the requested amount if applicable. I put in a low amount just to see if I had that feature on my Platinum. $5,000 came back with $10,000. I know my "limit" is substantially higher as I have spent much more than that in a single transaction without even checking spend power, and $35,000 came back as no problem just a few months ago with me having a $8k balance at the time.

But yes my Zync card that I haven't run a charge on for at least a year will still appove a $7500 perchase...
guess we will need to wait till others respond, yes its a think on my PRG or etc... and only my old Zync card is left out.
Man I remember back in the day the Zinc card was a great card to have. I held one but did a PC to the Green card...
Does your card still work? I've not been on the forums for the last couple of years and I'm just curious...
My Delta Amex just gives a "Good News!" followed by the approval to spend the requested amount.
My Plat Amex gives an approval for the requested amount + more.
I requested, $2k. That was approved + anything up to $4k
I then requested $10k. That was approved + anything up to $19.5k
I didn't make any additional requests.

It was new to me. The few times I have hit it in the past, it just told me yes. Thanks to your post, I can now hit it and feel good when AmEx says, "of course we'll approve that, and while you're at it buy a little something for yourself."
That's basically it... Here, spend MORE!!!
It just gives me approval for the amount I entered, nothing extra...
still works, as far as I know since they approved a $7,500 potential purchase, these days I keep it for the low AF, $25 a year for a card back dated to 1/2011, it was actually applied for in jan 2012. It also occausionally comes up with AMEX offers that credit my account with a few dollars to offset the $25. I hope they bring back the former buy small program that alone paid for the AF. Next year it will be 7 years old. And its the lowest AMEX charge card, now that you can't apply for the Senior green card. So it stays.
Wow I should use it more, just checked my 2016 Yearly spend report, I only paid the AF, no other purchases for all of 2016.
well... this'll be fun...
