I see this more as a competitor to the Cap1 Venture or Barclay Arrival+... a cash back card with a category restriction on redemptions, fat bonus, and low to moderate annual fee... a churner but not a keeper.
I agree, that's how I see it too if I had to throw out a bold prediction myself. If it's a $95 AF I dont see them adding a travel credit, and definitely not a $100 like rumor has it, Maybe a $50? lol. And if there is a yearly travel credit, then I see them giving a higher annual fee than $95. Either way I don't see them giving a travel credit thats worth more than them charging you an annual fee.
It's definitely similar to the cap1 venture, CSP, etc.
I do not see this card as a Premium card. I already have the BA Cash Rewards and BA Travel Rewards, and the 75% bonus tier. The $95 AF just does not add to the extra 0.5% on travel and dining. The BA 3%/2/1 + 75% bonus and 1.5% + 75% bonus can certainly compete with Chase UR + CSR. They are the two main lines I keep. I may use Discover for its quarterly 5%....
Not impresses. Like a real premium card.

t's definitely not a premium travel card. Its designed to compete with the cards like the CSP and the Citi Premier that have the same AF but for people that are good at using rewards points those cards have the potential to offer much higher value than even the possible 2.65% (that few people will ever get) if you were inclined to put $100K in an account with them. This is a middle of the road travel card and is good for people that are looking for easy redemption methods for travel.
To me it's more similar to Barclays arrival cards then csp or premier

Oh I agree but the CSP and the Premier are what they are targeting but its fall short in my judgment. I consider this just another one of the cash back cards that are pseudo travel cards where you can probably can do better just getting a good cash back card in the first place,

yeah to me its a churn card for bonus, but i would rather have something like say Cap one quick silver you get the no FTF and 1.5 back on everything with no AF. Too many hoops to jump thru with BOA accounts imo. The only way i would even think about it is if I had an IRA thru merril edge or something. For pure banking BOA doesn't cut it for me for checking , savings, or anything like that.
You do not want to churn a bank which you plan to stay. To me, I hold BA with respect. Never mess with BA. I'm happy to stay round with BA and Chase. You can churn Capital One, Barclay etc.

We can disagree there boa doesn't have any card or any banking accounts I would want to use long term so am fine churning their cards

Certainly. I enjoy 75% bonus on 3%/2/1 (5.25% max) cash rewards and 1.5 x 75% = 2.625% on Travel Rewards card without paying any annual fees. And I get 100/month stock trading at no commssion fees.
