New CC User ?'s

I just got a Wachovia CC with my dad as a co-signer.  I wanted to know: after ~12months, does my score go back up as though I had no inquiries?  Also, does it matter that my CL is low (1k), or does it just matter that I have a low debt-to-credit ratio? Should I ask for a higher CL, or just charge to debit if I'm near $100 balance?

You could also pay it off more than once per month. IE charge $500 when you get home pay $401 or whatever

Yes, inquiries only affect your score for 12 months.  They will stay on your report for another year after that but not be considered for your score.

No biggie on a low limit, not bad for a first card.  I would wait awhile before asking for a limit increase, maybe 6 months or something.  If you post the specific card, folks are helpful with their experiences.  Treat it well and it wil hopefully grow with you.  Way to go on working your credit and being educated early.  So many people don't know or care until it's important..
