Just for S's&G's. I went on the prequal page. Savor loaded with a 3% higher APR than what I have now. LOL! They must have tighten the approval strings like others are experiencing with all the denials. Still hoping all of you get the upgrade soon.
Data Point: I still have not been upgraded and my card is a WEMC.
DON'T WORK FOR CREDIT CARDS ... MAKE CREDIT CARDS WORK FOR YOU!

Capital One tightening their approval strings is like having snow plows in Miami, Florida.

Not sure why they sent both. Website and emails and the paper letter all say the same thing. Lot of expenses and time invested on the change apparently.
Noticed if I try to request a replacement card thru mobile app for any of my accounts, it now says I need to call in which is odd. Also some minor bugs in the Mobile application which hopefully get resolved when they update the app again.
Certain communications are required to be sent via snail mail. This probably isn't one of them, but Capital One probably deems this change to be important enough to warrant the redundancy.
I'm not a fan of metal cards as they're practically impossible to destroy.
The issuer sends you an envelope to send the card back and they destroy it.
The other options are to throw it in your bonfire or fire place.

Seriously? What was it beforehand? Makes no sense when its WEMC. Something just aint right.
I was denied for the SAVOR card despite a long hx with CO and 10 k in one of their savings accounts. I also have a Venture 1 with a 23k CL. Reason for denial "too many recent inquiries"........... Scores ranged from 689-714. I wrote a letter to their executive offices and am waiting on a reply. Not holding my breath, but you never know. They probably see me as a churner and you know what they are absolutely right. LOL
Finally got my all 3 FICOs to the mid 700s after starting rebuilding from the low 500s 2 years ago. Was looking for a new card to get and the $500 SUB and 4% dinning/entertainment was too hard to pass up. Got approved for $10K. Which is funny because I have a 1.5 year old QS that started at $500, went to $600 after 6 months and gets rejected for a CLI every time since. 750ish avg FICO and i cant get past $600 but can get approved for $10,000 on a new card. So tempted to close the QS out of anger every time they deny my CLI request.
I have no intentions of paying the annual fee and will either PC to a card without it or close the account before the AF hits in a year. Then if the SUB is still around my wife will open one and also PC/close it before the AF.
Cant beat getting $500 off of $3000 of bills id be paying anyway.
Its funny seeing so many people happy that they are grandfathered into no AF but no SUB. I would take the SUB all day every day. There will always be another card with rewards so similar the difference is negligable. But there wont always be such a large easy SUB to hit

Or you can combine the new card into your Quicksilver.
