Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

Lol, c'mon here, fellow forum friends...6.25% V APR; what's not to like?  Smiley Tongue  No one else going to try to take the plunge here to apply?  Smiley Wink  After all we never know when a credit card offer this good will be available again right?  (The last time i personally was able to apply and be approved for a rate this low myself was around 2004-2005-ish?)  Who really wants a high double-digit APR when this baby can be had at the ultra-low rate 6.25% V?  Smiley Wink

Some posters have mentioned having their EQ pulled rather than EX, for the inquiry...since you have such low inquiry numbers on your EQ Nixon, what if you were to app by phone and specifically ask them to run your EQ report?  If they were willing to do so, maybe you could be an extremely good chance for approval hopefully, just as long as they don't pull your EX?    Smiley Happy

All bureaus are frozen.

I can't expect them to pull EQ when EX is their bureau of choice.

I forget if FNBO just SP'd, or did a HP on my EQ in addition to EX. I guess I need to order that credit report disclosure, eh?

I was going to garden... Honest!

Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

Sorry in advance as I don't mean to beat a dead horse or anything, so to speak, since I noticed that this thread has gone kinda quiet lately, but I honestly am kinda shocked (shocked!) here that there is no apparent additional serious interest, in this card!  Smiley Surprised  In MHO, this card is almost like the greatest thing since sliced bread for credit cards, in terms of the benefits and the total package (low APR, great rewards, no AF)....everyone seems so super-interested or preoccupied here on the forum in cards like the Citi Prestige, Premier, Ritz Carlton, Discover Miles, etc./similar card products; so why not show this card some more luv too, lol?  In fact, why apply for any AF-based credit card when you can have an excellent rewards program *and* among one of the lowest-of-the-low APRs, with this card?  Btw, this is one aesthetically-beautiful looking card and one that I am personally extremely pleased and delighted, to carry in my wallet!  Smiley Happy  In fact...if I could actually get away with applying for a second one, I would totally go for it, but sadly I already know there's really no chance of that happening, lol...

They're just too inquiry sensitive.

This card is for someone who carries one or two CC's in their wallet and never applies for anything. Or at least this is the image that FNBO apparently has in their head.

If they won't approve people with ~800 FICO's and 2 Experian inquiries on file then it's not really worth considering. A wasted inquiry.

Right.  While FNBO is a decent lender IMO, it's just not a suitable product for me at the moment.  Albeit the "creativity" for getting around the application process can work for some folks, it just hasn't garnered the appeal like other cards when comparing to the overall benefits that others are looking for.

Most people like sign up bonuses and ongoing benefits. The only benefit of this card is the low apr, which is good, but not for everyone. I did get it mainly for that reason incase I ever run into a situation where I really would need to carry a balance, but it's unlikely. I have three cards that earn 2% cashback, so the 1.5% really isn't the best in the world. I was suprised that a low apr card had a decent rewards program, but they're kind of small in the credit card world so I doubt they'll have millions sign up for this.
