New Member, Quick Question!

Hello everyone!

My name is Joe, and I just found this website!

I checked my Fico score for the first time, and it right now is a 624, which isn't as bad/good as I thought.

Working on getting my balances low, I've recently got into a new car (lease) and I app'd for AMEX Blue Cash, which was approved (all back in Sept)

Recent was a Chase pull for Chase Sapphire which I got a $5,000 limit! Very happy with that.

Here's my question, since I have AMEX already, with the score of 624, no negatives on my accts etc, do you think I could get the Gold Reward Card?

Thanks for all responses and looking forward to this great community!!

A score of 624 is going to be touchy.. That seems too low IMHO.. You may want to garden what you have and pull your scores again in 6 months... 624 is just too low.. Although you do have a current Amex card and that will help, you still need to meet other minimum requirements.. Good luck!

Honestly, I wouldn't have expected you to get either the BC or the Saphire with a 624. Where did you get it from, this site? Which bureau is it? Experian, etc? Do you have any other cards besides those two?

Re: New Member, Quick Question!

I am very surprised you received those cards with that score. Where did you get that score from? This site or somewhere else?

Re: New Member, Quick Question!

I'm thinking either they are pulling a FAKO thinking its a fico... OR they app'd when their score was much higher.. because nobody with a 624 is getting a CSP! lol.. I'm thinking they are pulling a Fako thinking its a Fico though Smiley Happy

Re: New Member, Quick Question!

Right, I would question the reality of the score. Also, you might just want to make sure you know what's on your report at this time.

Re: New Member, Quick Question!

I would garden for 6 months to a year, if that's your FICO score. What is your utilization?

Re: New Member, Quick Question!

I'm not really on terms with "gardening" and "AAOA"

However, I have no late payments, the only thing is my utilization is a bit high (60%)

Most recent was the sapphire in Jan.
