You need to find Dave Ramsey and not more cards.

I agree, no more cards, but yikes; Dave Ramsey?  Horrible advice; he's the charlatan of credit advice, for every good nugget of advice he doles out, he spews forth three or four very bad recommendations.

In reading through I would say no more cards at the moment. I'm actually surprised you are near 700. The good thing is that 14K in credit card debt is that much, but that utilization is a killer. Some have suggested getting in with a credit bureau. Even if you don't I'd suggest going to your bank and trying to get a loan for the 14K. You will be paying a lot less than the 500-750 per month you are paying. Your scores will go through the roof and paid off credit cards just makes you feel better.

Thanks for the advice, I was considering a PLOC with discover to do just that but was offered a high apr anyway so didn't help much on payment term, although it probably would improve score a lot. Going to look at CUs that might offer 0% BT, currently about 6k of the 14k is at 0%, 8k of the 14k is accruing interest at 25%, so 2k/yr, not fun... If i can get more of the 8k to 0% I can pay off quicker. Looks like I'm going to be doing some juggling...
