New Millenium secured VISA & MC

New Millenium secured Visa & MC Anyone ever had them before? I just sent off the apps for both and they say they don't do a hard pull and everyone is approved for secured cards. Sounds good right 2 new TL'S with no inq's? I have very little inq's and would like to keep it that way until scores are up and I can app for some unsecured cards. I've been salivating over hooters Smiley Wink can't wait for the day my TU gets to 600 so I can app for that.

Re: New Millenium secured VISA & MC

Hi Sonogirl, I have NMB card. They will approve you. But the catch there is no grace period for purchases. So you start accumulating the interest from the day you make a charge on your account. I have put $2k into security deposit and got card for $2k CL. I hardly use the card as it costs me money every time I use the card. Some times I pay ahead on the card and then use the charge card so I dont have to pay interest. Since you have already sent out the application, keep in mind when you use the card that it will cost you money right away.

ThanKs Concord, it was sort of a last resort my scores are very low and I only have a target store card so I needed something pretty easy to get. Maybe I will charge like a pack of gum to each card once a month interest on $1.09 shouldn't be that bad LOL Smiley Wink

Re: New Millenium secured VISA & MC

If you are really looking to add a card that badly consider looking at BankOne Card. You might be able to get an unsecured card from them. I got their card even before I got my NMB card. My scores might have been around 500-550 that time. I am not sure as I have not checked my scores at that time. They charge $5.95/month as annual fee comparing to $59/year NMB Charges. They also give 25 day grace. They give CLI of $100-$200 every 6 months. That is the first card I got when I started pulling my self out of the slump I was in. If you pay the payment every month on time, they are good card to have. Beleive it or not, even though I have BOA/FNB Omaha card today I have used my BankOne card.

Re: New Millenium secured VISA & MC

If you decide to go with creditone- make sure you have online bill pay from your bank-

Otherwise it can be difficult to pay on time or pay a fee to pay from their website.

Re: New Millenium secured VISA & MC

I agree with Timothy. It is advisable to have online billpay so you can send the payments online. If you try to pay it by phone they charge you a fees. You could mail the payment, I never had any problem. But some people say they have been late in posting the payments. Use your best judgement, I personally have been happy and never had any problem with them in the last 2 years I had the card with them.
