USB was upfront about the AF on the Connect before it's eventual release. Were they upfront about the amount of the AF before the release of AR? I would think with this much info already available on the card, they would also announce the AF if we're going to have one. Really hope it doesn't.
This is great card that hopefully I can add to my list. If I'm maxed, I'd likely PC one of my Cash+ cards. It could also replace my BCP and finally get me to play downgrade/upgrade with the AMEX BCE again.

Woo! Christmas came early!! This is definitely one card worth gardening for!

@Moneyklutz wrote:Just received email from US Bank asking if I wanted to join the waitlist on their newest card.
6% Cashback on 2 merchants chosen from a list capped at $1500/quarter
3% cashback on two others capped at $1500/quarter
1.5% on everything else with no cap.
I've heard nothing about this on the boards and Google is barren as well... Thought everyone here should know if you're in the market for another card though! =)
Very rad. Thanks @Moneyklutz !!

Wow that could be a great card. Thanks.
One possible wrinkle: "Cash Rewards Retailers and Purchase Categories are subject to change quarterly." I.e. as I look at it today, it's a no-brainer for me, both in terms of merchants and in terms of categories. But if those are subject to change, in another quarter the card might be useless to me.
Nice job catching that. I wonder if they mean "This will probably be a quarterly rotating card" or if this is just the usual credit card company lingo of "We have rights to change any and all aspects of our cards at any time." Lol
The same language exist for the Cash+ as well. I think it's just a catch-all for US Bank to cover themselves.

@720orBust wrote:Does it have a $500 annual fee? Thats my guess. Congrats though
I'm guessing a $95 fee, to equal the BCP.

I think in those terms they mean that the retailers are not permanent. Meaning if retailers decided to pull out they can. I really don't believe that means it will be a rotating quarterly card because you have to CHOOSE 2 categories at the beginning of each quarter like the Cash+.
Stewing on this card a bit. Don't really want to add an additional bank to check on a regular basis (a big part of my "manage-many-cards" strat is keeping them grouped under the same logins/issuers). So, assuming it's as good as it looks with no AF, going to keep my fingers crossed that Elan adds a version soon after, and I can get a PC to it on one of my MCPs (not fully utilizing having 4 categories, since cell phones lost protection).
It's interesting to note that the link says that data is good as of last May... but they sat on it till Oct to send someone a wait-list application invite?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict no AF. I'm guessing that perhaps it's a partnership with the retailers so the full 6% isn't coming out of USB's pocket. Plus, with the 1.5% instead of 1%, it is possible this can become an everyday card for many. We'll see.....

I don't see $1500 limit spend is worth AF! 3% categories are common too these days. Over all a decent card for now but we'll see! Wonder if they add other variations of this card.
Wish the design looked better.
