I ended up just applying for the CSR.

Got the dreaded “30 day” message. Checked again this morning and lady not saying the same. Not sure if I’ll call or wait it out. I recently moved and put my new address so I think it may be an address verification issues.

The 30 day message is actually the next best thing to get after an auto approval for Chase believe it or not. If you don't want to wait tryng calling in because it probably is verification with the changed address you mentioned. What did the robo lady say when you called in?

Robot lady is saying application being reviewed and mailing blah within 30 days decision.

I would call in. They might just send you to their security department and ask a few questions to make sure you're the one that app'd for the card. Use this as a guide.

So I called recon and they needed address verification. I went into a Chase branch and gave them documents and they scanned it in. Said I should know by today. Assuming good news?

Yes because otherwise they would have simply declined you right after the original submission of the app.

Which cards did you apply for?

Just the CSR.

Although I am still within 24hrs so may apply for the Freedom as well but I want to hear back on the CSR first.

Called automated number again and I am now getting a 7-10 day message.

You could still get approved for the Freedom whether or not you get approved for the CSR though. Since you won't get HP'ed anyway, it probably won't make much of a difference.

Yeah I may do so and apply for the Freedom or the Unlimited.

Just anxiously awaiting now lol. Chase branch CSR said he would call me today after he called Chase over the phone. Nervous that it went from 30 days to 7-10 days instead of to 2 weeks but we’ll see.
