I don't intend to apply for it or anything else at now, as it's not even been 3 months since opening my BCP, but got a mailer from Avant today to apply for a flat 2% CB card with no AF. The interest rate listed is 29.49% which would be around what the highest rate offerings from a more prime card would be (and same as my BCP). Max starting CL is still on the lower side at $3k, but this is defintely the closest product from Avant that I've seen to a prime card. Seems like maybe they're starting to target some people that are at the higher reaches of sub prime to near prime. FWIW my profile is BK7 5yr4mo ago and cores are FICO8 683/677/676; FICO 9 are 714/699/704. All previous Avant card variations I've seen were 1% or no rewards, with and without AFs.
I hear ya. $1500 wouldn't cut it for me either now. A year ago I would have considered it for sure, but with each card in my rebuild my starting CLs have gone up and $1500 would be below my lowest limit.
