No, the closed account will continue to age, report and factor in AAoA for up to 10 years when your other accounts would have aged nicely as well, and since the limit will be moved to QS, no effects on UTI.
Just got a pre-approval for the new Amex GC, with the $50K MR carrot. In light of my current Amex Platinum and BCP, is this something I should even consider? Besides chasing the additional $50K MRs, it seems like I could use the Platinum and BCP, in tandem, for everything the new GC brings. Thoughts?

I would not, way too much AF for very small gains. I can see you are pretty invested in Amex ecosystem. Unless you want to branch out to Chase, WF, or BofA. Why not just stays with what you have?
